Grace (Long) Everhart

Grace Everhart, age 85, of Highland, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 4, 2019.

She was born July 29, 1934 in South Solon, Ohio the daughter of Lawrence and Goldie Exline Long.

Grace was raised in the Clarksville and Reesville areas of Clinton County. She was a 1952 graduate of Wayne Township School in Lees Creek. She retired from General Telephone Company in Wilmington and Athens, where she worked her way up to Chief Operator. Grace was the family rock, always seeing the good in everyone and everything. She loved her family making every occasion, holidays, birthdays, special for them. Everyone benefited from her love and support. Grace loved God and the family was blessed by Him for having her in their lives.

Grace is survived by her loving husband, Roger, of 66 years. Also left to cherish her memory are her sons: Thomas Everhart and Samuel Everhart, both of Leesburg; her sisters, Dorothy Lapine and Carol (Irvin) Pollock of Wilmington; grandchildren: Michael Shelton of Dayton, Jessica (Rob) Page of Oregon, Amber Everhart of Hillsboro, Sammy and Cody Everhart of Greenfield, Dominic Storer, Coleton, Maddox and Jacob Everhart of Leesburg and great grandchildren: Julia, Skyler, Hailey, Owen and Ian; brother in law. Charlie Adams of Lees Creek and sister-in-laws Sue Long and Barbara Long of Wilmington; along with her best friends, Dottie and Donald Creed of Highland. Grace is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and extended families that she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Adams; and brother and sister-in-law Robert (Irma Carol); along with brothers: Edward and Wayne Long; brother-in-law, Robert Lapine; her in-laws, Harry and Bessie Everhart; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Anna Louise and Daniel Akins; also nephews: Tim Gifford, Randy Adams and Luke Lapine.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from Noon until 2:00 p.m. when a funeral service will begin. Burial will be at Centerville Cemetery in Lees Creek.
