Gladys M. Orchard, 90, formerly of Sabina, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022 at The Four Seasons in Washington C.H.
She was born a leap year baby on February 29, 1932, in Waverly Ohio. She is the daughter of Charles and Vinnie (Smith) Whaley.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Roger, whom she married in 1958.
She was a 1950 graduate of Marion School District in Fayette County. A retired homemaker and owner of Roger’s Radio and TV as well as The Apple Orchard Craft Store both in Sabina. An avid reader, she also loved doing crafts as well as taking care of her many plants. Gladys was a member of the order of The Eastern Star, GWRRA Capital City Motorcycle Club and the 3C Motorcycle Club.
She is survived by her children; Dwight (Bobbie-deceased) Morgan of Florida, Sonny (Roxy) Morgan of New Vienna, Jeff (Christina) Orchard of Sabina. Grandchildren; Amy Joe (Michael) Crowe, Sonny (Carrie) Morgan, Chad (Tanya) Woods, Mallory (Seth) Helterbran, Cassie Woods, Justin Morgan, Dwayne Jackson, James Orchard, John Orchard, Caleb Broughton, Zachary Bambic and Levi Bambic; along with19 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her siblings: Ed, Gene, and Katherine Whaley and Mary Ohler. She is also preceded in death by her first husband Roy F. Morgan Sr.
Visitation will be on Monday August 29, 2022, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina from Noon until the time of service at 1:30 P.M. Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice Memorial Fund of Promedica Hospice.
