Geraldine 'Jerry' (Flax) Haperee Shadley

Geraldine ‘Jerry’ Flax Harperee Shadley, age 95, of Sabina, passed peacefully on October 14, 2024.

Born in Jeffersonville on September 22, 1929, she was the daughter of Heber and Marg Flax.

Jerry was preceded in death by her husbands: Orlyn Harperee in 1989, and James Shadley in 2012.

Jerry retired as a clerk at Uhls IGA in Sabina.  Previously, she worked for Thousand Trials Wilmington and at MAC Tool.  Jerry loved to camp and fish, especially in Canada and Maple Grove.  She was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ and Sabina Senior Citizens.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Lynn (Vicky) Harperee of Midland, Randy Harperee of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Alan (Dori) Harperee of Sabina.  Jerry is also survived by grandchildren: Deanna Lynn, Dawn, Sissy, Melissa, Matt, Nick, Jeri Lee, Ashley, Kyle and Cory; along with several great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Jerry was preceded in death by her son, Harold ‘Trent’ Harperee in 2016, and siblings: Mike and Fonda.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. Jude's Research Hospital or Tunnels to Towers.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 2-4pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.  A graveside service, at Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville, will take place 2pm on Monday, October 21, 2024.
