George Thomas 'Tom' Anders

George Thomas Anders, age 91, passed peacefully Thursday, April 18, 2019.

Born in Fayette County on September 13, 1927, he was the son of the late Stace and Clarice Beverly Anders.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Stackhouse Anders, who passed in 2004.  The two were married on November 28, 1949.

Tom attended Conner and graduated from Sabina High School.  He went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II.  Tom was the owner and operator of Sabina Blue Flame for 26 years.  He attended the Sabina Church of Christ, was a member of the Sabina Lions Club, Sabina Senior Citizens and the Wilmington Elks.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Steven (Larry Fogle) Anders of West Carrolton; grandchildren: Jeremy (Rachel) Fogle and Ashley (Anthony) Lesher; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The last of his family, Tom was preceded in death by siblings: Geraldine Armstrong, Leona Eillis, Louise Williams, Jim Anders and Dick Anders.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Community Care Hospice.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 4 – 7pm, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 11am.  Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at White Oak Grove Cemetery, Buena Vista.
