Frances Irene Spence Stewart, age 74, of Sabina, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Port William on January 23, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Richard Leo and Ruth Naomi (Mills) Spence.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 40 years, Danny Mac Stewart, on July 4, 2010.
A 1968 East Clinton High School graduate, she worked in administration at Airborne. In her retirement, Frances did accounting for Kile Landscaping and Buckeye Portables. She had a true passion for sewing and was a diligent quilt maker. Frances enjoyed playing cards and her weekly card club. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and an active member of the Sabina Church of Christ.
Frances is survived by her sons and their wives: Richard and Tracy Stewart and D.R. and Stephanie Stewart. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Kaylee (Matthew) Greenawalt, Tyler (Desirae Stubbs) Stewart, Nathan Stewart, Evan (Kelsey Howell) Stewart, Gabe Stewart, MacCayla (Kyle) Akers, Tanner (Wyatt) McCulloch, and Caden (Gracie Greene) Stewart; great grandchildren: Eli, Elora, Eric, Clayton, Kaylyn, Zarah, and Slate; sisters: Phyllis Hartley, Shirley (James) Luck, and Peggy Routzahn; along with a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard Dean, and sister, Jocie Szall.
Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Ohio’s Hospice.
The Stewart family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 5-7pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, an Eastern Star Service will begin at 7:00 P.M Wednesday. and her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am. Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
