Eloise (Lynch) Sabin

Eloise Lynch Sabin, age 97, of Wilmington, Ohio passed on Sunday morning, February 18, 2024.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Sabin. They loved and supported each other on their farm until Gordon's passing in 2011.

After her mother's early death, Eloise and her brother Donald Lynch were raised by their grandparents, G.W. & Addie Hewitt. Eloise was always grateful for the care and guidance provided by Addie and G.W. Eloise's brother, Donald, preceded her in death; and was mourned by Eloise for the remainder of her life.

Eloise belonged to the Eastern Star. She was an accomplished pianist and bridge player. Eloise was also an avid reader. She enjoyed working at the Wilmington Public Library. Eloise was active in various activities including serving as leader of 4-H clubs. She attended Dover Friends Meeting House and also taught summer Bible camp. Eloise later became a member of the Wilmington Methodist Church. Her family-oriented specialties were providing after-school home-baked cookies for her children. She managed to find time for frequent walks through the woods during which she identified wildflowers for her daughters and son.

Eloise tragically lost both her son, Gary Sabin, age 25 and grandson, David Brann, age 32.

She is survived by daughters Jennifer Sabin of South Carolina and Rebecca Sabin of Maineville, Ohio, as well as two grandsons: Erik and Gregory both of Ohio. Eloise is also survived by various Lynch, Hewitt, and Sabin family members.

As per her wishes, a private memorial service will be held for close family members. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, son, and grandson. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
