Doris 'Dorie' A. (Ratliff) Zurface

Doris ‘Dorie’ A. Zurface, age 86, of Sabina, passed peacefully on March 8, 2022.

Born on April 21, 1935, the daughter of Arthur and Anna Merriman Ratliff.

Dorie was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Zurface, who passed on March 1, 2014.  At the time of his passing, the two had been married nearly 63 years.

A devoted homemaker, Dorie was no stranger to hard work and milking cows on the family farm.  In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, playing cards and cooking.  Dorie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Wilmington.

Left to cherish Dorie’s memory are her children: Randy (Cindy) Zurface and Doug (Robyn) Zurface, all of Sabina, Mike (Sugar) Zurface of Bainbridge, Terry (Don) Gordon of Wallkill, NY, and Jeffrey Ratliff of Dayton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special nephews, Warren Ratliff and Warner Ratliff; along with a host of additional nieces and nephews.

The last of her family, Dorie was preceded in death by brothers: Malcolm, Johnny, and Rodney Ratliff.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial, beside her husband, will take place at Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
