Doris A. (Bartruff) Zurface

Doris A. Zurface, age 82, of Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

Born on September 14, 1936, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha Kingery Bartruff.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Gene ‘Baldy’ Zurface, who passed on July 20, 1990.  The two were married December 22, 1956.

Doris graduated from Washington Court House High School and was a devoted wife and mother.  After her husband passed, Doris enjoyed babysitting children.  A member of Center United Methodist Church, she enjoyed cooking for her own and church family.  Doris enjoying spending time with and taking care of her children and grandchildren; she loved her life on the farm.

Doris is survived by her children: Debra (Stephen) Cook of Jamestown, Jeffrey (Tina) Zurface of Hillsboro, and Krista (Todd Page) Zurface of Jamestown.  Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Jason Cook, Chantell Couch, Jakob Zurface, Madison Lambcke, EmmyLou Zurface, Katie Page and Grady Page; great grandchildren: Noah, Carson, and Jase Cook, Colden Wallace, Emmelyn and Aubrey Couch; along with a sister, Pamela Renander of Madison, WI; and a host of extended family members and adored friends.

In addition to her husband, Doris is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Zurface, and a brother, John R. Bartruff.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 11am – 1pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Milledgeville Plymouth Cemetery.
