Doris J. (Vineyard) Arrasmith

Doris J (Vineyard) Arrasmith, age 90, died June 14, 2018, at her home following a brief battle with breast cancer.

Doris was born on July 25, 1927, the 8th of 9 children born to Lewis W and Elsie A (Huffman) Vineyard and lived her entire life in the Sabina area.

She graduated from Sabina High School in 1945, in 1947, married Roy Arrasmith and was blessed with 47 years until his death in 1994.  This union produced 3 daughters, Diane and twins, Janice and Joyce.  After her girls graduated, Doris decided to enter the work force and was employed by Ledex, in Wilmington, where she made many lifelong friends.

Doris was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ which she attended over 84 years ago and also belonged to Clinton County Square Dancers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, and daughter, Janice Gaddis, siblings Helen Walker, Mabel Robinson, Ogel, Earl, Delmar and Bernard Vineyard, Thelma Perry and Wilma Wilson.

Doris is survived by daughters: Diane (Bill) Anders and Joyce Arrasmith of Sabina; grandchildren: Donnie (Janet) Gaddis, Lisa (Mark) Cutler and Jason (Lana) Borton; great grandchildren: Samantha and Brady Gaddis, Jordan Hardy and Justin Cutler, Tristen Pennington and Zachary Borton; also special nieces: Sandy (PR) Luttrell and Sharon Jones; and many other nieces and nephews.

The girls would like to thank Community Care Hospice for their vigilant service to their Mother and Littleton Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions are strongly suggested to Community Care Hospice or Sabina Church of Christ.

Friends may call, at the Sabina Church of Christ, on Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 2-4pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial at Sabina Cemetery will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 10am –  all are welcome.
