Deborah 'Debbie' Sue (Penn) Vest

Deborah Sue Vest, age 73, of New Vienna, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Born on May 15, 1949, in Pancoastburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Russell Penn and Peggy (Williams) and David Matthews, who survive in New Holland.

Debbie is also survived by her husband, Jack Vest.  The two were united in marriage on Valentine’s Day in 1992.

A Wilmington High School graduate, Debbie went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree.  She retired from the accounting department at American Showa.  In her retirement, Debbie enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Debbie is survived by her daughters: Melissa (Steve Kessler) Roberts of Belfast and Christie Vest of Lakeview, South Carolina.  Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Jessica Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Kristy Roberts, Sean Vest, Scott Florea, and Kayla Vest; great-granddaughter, Millie Snively; and siblings: Susan (Scott) Pargin, Linda (Barry) Wyatt, and David (Nora) Penn; along with a host of nieces and nephews.  Debbie is also survived by her beloved dogs: P.D., Elwood, Dickie, Teddy, and Dolly.

Debbie was preceded in death by a son, Jack Vest.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to PAWS Humane Society (5312 US Hwy 68, Wilmington 45177).

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 11am – 1pm, when a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow at Waterloo Cemetery, Pancoastburg.
