Darlene Bennett, age 58, passed at home, surrounded by loving family, on Monday, October 3, 2016.
Born on April 16, 1958, in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Betty Mingler Henthorn.
Darlene was a graduate of East Clinton and worked for Black Stone Home Health for ten years as a skilled home health aide. She was a member of Jonah’s Run Church and an active participant in Raised-Up Sanctified Daughters Bible Study and Outreach Group.
Surviving are daughters: Linda (Michael) Cook, Cindy (Bradley) Hughes, Dorothy Bennett, and Rusty Bennett, all of Wilmington; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is Darlene’s former husband, Russell Bennett; siblings: Dana (Erma) Henthorn, Brad (Peg) Henthorn, Andy (Jodi) Henthorn, Reta (Brian Beard) Ontko, and Mary (Dennis) Woods; along with numerous extended family members, several nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Littleton Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at Jonah’s Run Church on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10am. Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery.
