Daniel Osborne, age 88, of Sabina, passed away on Saturday January 15, 2022, at Fayette Memorial Hospital.
Born December 11, 1933, in Hillsboro, the son of George and Nellie Lewis Osborne.
He was preceded by his, wife Martha Marshall Osborne, on February 14, 2014. The two were united in marriage on November 13, 1954.
A 1952 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Dan joined the Army and served as paratrooper and military police. After his Army service in Korea, he was the manager of Carter Plumbing and Electric in Carlisle, OH. Dan also served as the head of maintenance for Franklin City Schools, from where he retired. He then moved on to being the Pastor of the Sabina Baptist Church. He rounded out his service to people as a member of the Sabina Village Council.
Dan is survived by his grandchildren: Tracy (Doug) Morris and Travis (Justine) Osborne. Also left to cherish his memory are great grandchildren: Casi (Caleb) Penrod, Laci (Josh Atwood) Speakman, Spencer (Kareah Penrod) Wilson, Lucas (Lexus) Morris, Braden and Bryson Osborne; 11 great great grandchildren; sister, Juanita Strain and sister-in-law Donna Osborne and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to very special friends, Connie and Tom Hopkins and Mike and Linda Fugate and Pastor Darrell Coley.
In addition to his wife, Dan is also preceded in death by his son, Keith Osborne; brother Mason Osborne; and sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jim Garman.
Visitation will be on Saturday January 22, 2022, at the Sabina Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at Noon. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Littleton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
