Crystal Violet (Tagg) Dawson

Crystal Violet Dawson, 93, of Sabina, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Court House Manor in Washington Court House, Ohio.

She was born on January 14,1931, to Wilbe G., Sr. and Minnie Taylor Tagg in Pricetown, Ohio.

She married the late Marvin L. Dawson on October 2, 1949.

Violet was a devoted homemaker and gifted seamstress, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Shirley (Steve) Haines of Wilmington, OH, and Janet (Wayne) McCollum of Spring Lake, MI; and three grandchildren: Matthew Haines of Bloomington, IN, Duane (Nicole) McCollum, and Jason (Karyn) McCollum both of Twin Lake, MI.  She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Aiden, Carson, Evan, Jillian, Sophia, Stella and Hudson McCollum, a sister-in-law Mary Tagg, and several nieces and nephews.

Violet is preceded in death by four brothers: Glenn, Wayne, James and Wilbe G., Jr. (Jack) Tagg; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Tagg.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Fayette County.

Arrangements are being handled by Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina.  A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery.
