Cpt. Robert E Risinger Usn Sc (Ret.)

Cpt. Robert E. Risinger, USN SC (Ret.), age 92, of Wilmington, passed peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Ohio Living Cape May.

Born on November 19, 1932, in Huntington, Indiana, he was the son of Robert and Audra (Zirkle) Risinger.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Trow) Risinger.

Following high school, Robert was a 1958 graduate of the Naval Academy. He went on to attend Naval Postgraduate School, receiving his Masters Degree in Transportation Management. Robert retired as a Captain from the United States Navy. In his retirement, he found great joy in honing his woodworking skills, spending time with his sons.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons and their wives, Jeffrey and Valerie (Woodham) Risinger of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Timothy and Laura (Molenda) Risinger; granddaughters: Holly, Hailey and Sarah Risinger; and Robert's sister, Sondra Cagle.

Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery will take place in the future. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
