Coney L. Carter-Mitchell

Coney L. Carter Mitchell, age 79, of New Vienna, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Adena Medical Center.

Born August 26, 1945, in Oliver Springs, TN, she was the daughter of Clyde and Linda Lively Carter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hence Mitchell Jr. in 1995.

Coney had retired from Kroger Co. as a head cashier.  She enjoyed sports and coached basketball and softball.  She also loved to travel and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Paige (Todd) Moore of New Vienna and Liesha (Ralph) Richardson of Wilmington; grandchildren: Allen Richardson, Brandon (Erica) Richardson, Erica (Evan) Stull, Shannon (Brock) Hughes, Jeremy (Shiann) Kendrick, Brittany (Keith) Kendrick, Adam Moore and Caci (Jay) Holden; greatgrandchildren: Rhett and Rowan Holden, Brooklynn and Briana Richardson, Dominick and Wesley Stull, Katelynn, Ethan, Eli, Kenny, and Colin Neace, Chase, Jaxson and Jett Hughes, Leo Kendrick, Lily, Ally, Clayton and Lane Fields.

In addition to her parents and husband, Coney was preceded in death by her daughter and son in-law, Leslie and Ted Kendrick, and brothers, Richard and Kevin.

Visitation will be held at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 11am until 1pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at New Antioch Cemetery.
