Charles Ronald 'Ron' Stewart

Mr. Charles Ronald “Ron” Stewart, age 84, of Englewood, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Born May 12, 1939, in Sabina, Ohio, he was the son of the late Floyd and Ruth Lancen Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Tagg (Jim) and one brother, William Stewart, and one brother in-law, Don Jackson.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Karen Stevens Stewart, married September 14, 1974, and cherished nearly 50 years of marriage.

Other survivors include his two sisters, Sue Stewart Jackson, Kay Stewart, and a sister in-law, Linda Morgan Stewart all of Sabina, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; extended family; church family and very dear friends.

Ron was a High School graduate from Sabina High School in the class of 1957. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves after six years of service. Ron retired from General Motors Delphi Harrison, in Dayton. He was a devout Christian, and strong in his faith. Ron was a dedicated member of Greenview Calvery Tabernacle in Dayton, where he served as a Decan and Trustee and on the visitation committee for many years. Ron was a 50-year member of the Grand Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. Sabina No. 324. Ron was a Kentucky Colonel.

He was an avid Ohio State Fan and enjoyed playing golf. Ron took pride in his lawnmowing and was a perfectionist at making sure it stayed looking perfect. He and his wife Karen were blessed to travel and experience the Holy Lands in Jerusalem, a place Ron talked about many times, and being baptized in the river of Jordan was a blessing to him. He will be greatly missed.

A public visitation will be held from 3p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Kindred Funeral Home in Englewood.

A second visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, with a funeral service following at 1 p.m., at the Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina, Ohio, with Pastor, Dr. Tim Livingston presiding.

Interment will follow in Sabina Cemetery with full military honors at the gravesite.
