Charles R. Meshefski, Jr., age 84, of Sabina, passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Continental Manor Blanchester.
Born in Farmington, Michigan on October 8, 1939, he was the son of the late Charles R. Meshefski, Sr. and Elizabeth Leitterman Meshefski Everhart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Meshefski, who passed in 2010.
Charles was a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his early enlistment, he worked at MAC Tool, The Irwin Company, and retired, as a maintenance supervisor, for Randall/Textron. He was a member of the Sabina Moose, Dragon Angels Car Club in Washington Court House, along with the American Legion and VFW in Wilmington. Charles enjoyed building street rods, machining, fabrication and bringing home anything he could find for free.
Charles is survived by his children: Linda Meshefski of Florida, Rick Meshefski of Washington Court House, John (Kim) Meshefski of Sabina, and Tom (Lori) Meshefski of New Vienna. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Dana Caraker and Emilee Meshefski; great grandchild, Devyn Lynn Meshefski; sister, Janet Cherem of Howell, MI; and nephew Fred Choate of Hamburg, MI.
In addition to his wife, Charles was preceded in death by daughter in-law Wanda Earley Meshefski and grandson Aaron Meshefski.
There will be no public services. Burial will take place at Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek, at the convenience of the family.
