Charles A. Fisher

June 8, 1930 — May 4, 2024

New Vienna

Charles Arthur Fisher, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Charles was born on June 8, 1930, in Warren County, to Laura Rose Wilson Fisher and Joseph David Fisher.  He was the fourteenth of fifteen children born in his family.  His siblings have all preceded him in death.

Charles graduated from Jefferson High School in 1948.  He married his high school sweetheart, Opal Faye (Renner) Fisher, in 1949; May 7th would have been their 74th wedding anniversary.

Charles worked, for over 40 years, for the Cincinnati Milacron.  He retired and built a woodworking shop, where he enjoyed spending his time making wooden toys, furniture, and other special items that he would share with his family and friends.  Working puzzles and gardening was a loved hobby of Charles; he loved sharing produce with family and friends.

He was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ for most of his life.  There, he participated as a song leader, Bible School teacher, and an Elder.  He loved cherry pie, was a 50-pint blood donor, a woodworking judge at the Clinton County Fair, and a machine trade advisor at Laurel Oaks.  Above all, Charles loved his family and was proud of them all.

Family was the most important part of his life.  Charles and Opal had two children, Michael Duane Fisher and Kathy Lynn Johnson.  Michael and his wife, Carla, have four children: Toni Gyle Fisher, deceased, Meghan (Scott) Styles, Dianna (Jeremy) Puskas and Shannon Fisher.  Kathy and her husband, John, have three children: Jennifer (Brent) Marshall, Joey (Melanie) Johnson, and Jonathan (Kayli) Johnson.  Also left to cherish his memory are 9 great-grandchildren: Mattison Snow, Mason Snow, Mckenna Snow, Luke Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Owen Johnson, Isla Johnson, Micah Styles, and Levi Puskas; along with two great-great grandchildren: Haddox and Henslee Snow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to the Clinton-Highland Joint Fire & EMS Association (PO Box 21, New Vienna, 45159).

Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Sabina Church of Christ, from 10am- 12 Noon, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
