Carrie L. (Church) Kirk

Carrie L. (Church) Kirk, age 88, of Jamestown went home to be with her Lord on July 13, 2018, at the Jamestown Place Health and Rehab Nursing Home, Jamestown.

She was born on July 15, 1929, in the Paintersville area.

Carrie is preceeded in death by her parents, Welsie Monroe and Jessie Tracy; sister, Jean; husband, James L. Church of 25 years; and husband John Kirk, of 25 years.

She is survived by son Ed (Cindy) Church (Cedarville) and their children Jamie (Eric), Josh (Angie), Jake (Christina), Jason (Angie) and Jessica (Ryan); and son Dale (Karen) Church (Jamestown) and their children Tammy and Jim (Ali); stepsons Roger (Jenny) Kirk and their children Matt and Rob (Melissa) and Donnie (Cheryl) Kirk (both of Jamestown) and their children Daniel (Melissa) and Brian along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Carrie was a member of the Jamestown Church of Christ and was a woman of faith her entire life.  For many years she assisted with the ministry of delivering comfort items to the residents of the Jamestown Nursing Home.  She sang in the Friends Church choir for many years and spent endless hours in prayer for loved ones and church family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the Jamestown Church of Christ (152 W. Washington Street, Jamestown).  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service at 11:00 am.

The family would like to express our appreciation to the all staff of the Jamestown Place Health and Rehab Nursing Home for the care, compassion and comfort provided and especially for becoming Grandma Carrie’s very special adopted family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jamestown Church of Christ or Hospice of Dayton.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.
