Brian Trout

Brian Trout, age 55, of the Wilmington area, went to worship his Lord Jesus Christ for eternity on Sunday, November 13, 2022. He was the constant love and support of his wife, Jody, and dedicated and loving father to Garrett "Jake" Trout of whom Brian was exceptionally proud of for obtaining a degree and pursuing his career.

After a lengthy battle with colon cancer, Brian never wavered in his faith or loving compassion for his family and friends. He served His Lord in many roles of the Church: deacon, trustee, Awana leader and Children’s Church Ministries.

Brian had a mechanical mind and could fix anything or make the part to repair it if he had to. This led him to a profession he enjoyed at PCC Aerostructures as a NC programmer. He was good at it and enjoyed working for such a great company.

He loved anything to do with cars, trucks and tractors, quad riding, knife making, kayaking, hiking and vacations to the mountains and beaches. But he loved his family the most, always protecting and providing and always making us laugh with his quick wit and humor.

He was the eldest son of George and Jan Trout of Wilmington and big brother to John (Christine) Trout and Donald (Penny) Trout. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews: Lauren (Logan) Jones, Michael (Autumn) Trout, Joel Trout, Seth, Xavier and Paige Trout, William (Sheri) Lansing, Abby (Tim) Johnson, Cody (Allison) Burton and Madison Burton; along with mother in-law, Mary Ann Burton; sister in-law Leigh Ann (S. Dean) Lansing; brother in-law Dallas (Kimberly) Burton; and a host of friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his father in-law, Donald Burton.

In lieu of flowers, a fund for Garrett “Jake” Trout has been established to aid in his college education expenses at PNC Bank, Wilmington, Ohio

Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Wilmington, on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 10:30 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm. Pastor Dan Mullins will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg. Littleton Funeral Home of Sabina is serving the family.
