Bobby B. Ewing

December 23, 1926 — January 14, 2017

Bobby B. Ewing, age 90, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on January 14, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Sharma L. Ewing, whom he married on August 13, 1973.
Mr. Ewing was born in Melvin, Ohio, son of the late Rita Pearl Ewing-Bentley and Walter Ewing.  He graduated from Reesville High School and served in the US Army during WWII.  He retired from the US Post Office, in 1988, after 30 years of service and from the National Bank & Trust, in 2002, after 13 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Kim (Jeri) Ewing of Alabama; step-daughter Jill (Eric) Green, and step-son Jeff (Tina) Runnels.  He has 8 grandchildren: Brent (Mandi) Ewing, Melissa (Mike) Adams, Robyn (Clint) Streetman, Jacob (Beth) Green, Lucas (Jessica) Green, Emily (Marc) Otte, Zachary (Amanda) Runnels and Amanda Runnels.  He also has 14 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ewing was a life member of the American Legion Post 49, VFW Post 6710, and the Elks 797 of Wilmington, the Sabina F&AM of Sabina, and the Scottish Rite, 32 degree Mason of Cincinnati.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Ewing, Jr., and his son, Robert Rick Ewing.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion Post 49 Bus Fund and Hospice of Dayton.
Visitation will be held from 4-6pm, when a Masonic service will begin, on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, January 19, 2017, with burial to follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.  Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 49.
