Bobbie Jo (Vineyard) Hazelbaker

Bobbie Jo Vineyard Hazelbaker, age 58, of Sabina, passed Monday, December 6, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital.

Born on December 10, 1962, in Washington Court House, she was the daughter of the late Delmar ‘Doc’ Vineyard and Connie (Jim Dunlap) Potts.

Bobbie Jo is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robert ‘Bob’ Hazelbaker.  The two were united in marriage on July 14, 1990.

Bobbie Jo was a Fairfield High School graduate.  She worked at Warren County and Lebanon Correctional Institutions as a mail clerk and was currently working in accounting at Trusty Insurance in Wilmington.  Bobbie Jo was an avid football fan – she loved Ohio State and the Patriots (especially Tom Brady!).  She was a true ‘sports mom’ and found great joy in supporting her kids in their sports.  She enjoyed her television shows, the occasional craft project, cooking and shopping.  Bobbie Jo loved her Jeep, participating in Jeep events, and riding around with her husband.

Bobbie Jo’s memory will be cherished by her beloved children: Wesley Anders of Columbus and Hannah Hazelbaker of Washington Court House; in addition to her husband and mother.  She is also survived by her sister, Melissa Vineyard of Franklin; and a host of extended family members and friends; along with her extremely spoiled and treasured cat, LaFawnduh.

In addition to her father, Bobbie Jo was preceded in death by her stepfather, Russ Potts; brother, Larry Vineyard; father in-law Robert Hazelbaker; and mother in-law Sandy Moore.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations, in Bobbie's name, be made to Faith Family Church in Wilmington, One Church in Columbus, or the Sabina Church of Christ, to be used for purchasing Christmas items for children in need.  Bobbie was passionate about no child going without during the holiday season and the family would like to honor her memory with that request.

Friends will be received at the Sabina Church of Christ on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 10am – 1pm, when a funeral service, officiated by John Fitzpatrick, will begin.  Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery, Sabina.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
