Bobbie L. (Bob) Sloan Sr. age 88, of Sabina, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Born in Ashland, Kentucky on July 3, 1936, he was the son of George W. and Elizabeth Fankell Sloan.
Bob moved to Ohio when he was 16 and worked for 35 years at Cincinnati Milacron in Wilmington. He retired from his position in supervision at the age of 55, on December 31, 1991.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet Nace Sloan. Also left to cherish his memory are two sons: Jeffrey (Sheila) Sloan of Sidney and Bobbie (Diana) Sloan Jr, of Washington Court House; brother, Elwood (Pat) Fankell of Grayson, Kentucky; two sisters in law: Peg Sloan and Joyce New, both of Sabina; son in law, Bruce Adamson of Troy; along with 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded by a son Kelly, a daughter Teri Adamson, and 2 brothers, Richard (Zeke) Sloan and Gary Sloan.
Bob loved boating, fishing, horses, motorcycles, airplanes -- especially having his private pilot's license and flying his own plane. He also loved traveling and camping. Bob was able to do all the things he wished in life and takes many fond memories with him.
His wishes were for no viewing or services; following cremation his remains will be scattered at designated sites with final burial in Sabina Cemetery.
