Bobbie N. Vance

Bobbie N. Vance, age 83, of Sabina passed away Sunday, September 22,2024 at The Vineyards of Concord in Frankfort, Ohio.

Born June 26,1941, he was the son of the late David Vance and Kathryn Vance Ging.

He spent most of his life between Fayette and Clinton Counties.  Bob loved farming and was employed around an early age at Sollars Farms. He then went on to be a self-employed Truck Driver, driving all throughout the United States. His favorite state was Texas because of how friendly the people are. He was a human map that could drive anywhere without the help of a Road Atlas.

He was the last surviving Vance child out of the six siblings: brothers, Everett, Harlan, Harry, and George, and his sisters, Evelyn and Virginia.

Left to cherish his memory is the mother of his children: Joy Vance of Sabina; his daughters, Tammy Zimmerman of Washington Court House and Holly (Gregory) Franey of Westerville; his number one son, Randall (Brittany McKinney) Vance of Sabina.  Bob is also survived by his "Pride and Joy" – his grandchildren: Matthew (Krystal) Vance, Brogen (Zechariah) Griffith, Katelyn (Jordan) Smith, Hillary (Nick) Harr, and Devin (Nicole) Shinshock; great-grandchildren: Avery, Chesney, Jeremiah, Chandler, Emersyn, Graham and a Baby Girl due in November; along with brother, Larry (Shelia) Ging.

In addition to his Vance siblings, Bob was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Robin Lynn.

Our family takes comfort in the idea that he watches over our family from Heaven, just as he did on Earth, serving as our Guardian Angel.

The family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 5-7pm.  A funeral service will take place on Friday, at the funeral home, at 1pm.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
