Betty M. (Adams) Stewart

Betty M. Stewart, 93, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Clinton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Clinton Co. on August 16, 1928, the daughter of Gurney and Anna Jane Rolston Adams.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband William “Harold” Stewart on March 22, 2001.

She is a past member of the Clinton County Squares and loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ.

Betty is survived by her daughter Deborah Stewart and son and daughter in law, David and May Stewart all of Wilmington. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Eric, Christopher and William Reiley, Jaime Polston, Tricia Edwards and Stephanie Auburn;10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her sisters: Annabel Cline, Ruby Brooks and Pauline Terrell.

Visitation will be at the New Antioch Church of Christ on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at Noon. Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery.
