Born July 9, 1924, in Dayton, she was the daughter of Harry and Elva Eckhart Hilt.

Betty was a 1942 graduate of Stivers High School and was a devoted farm wife with all the obligations and satisfactions that go along with that.  Betty was also a wonderful homemaker, living independently in her home, on the family farm, until just a week ago.  She was a lifetime bowler and attended the Richland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children; Anita (Alan) Acchione of Woodbury MN., Jeanne (Jerry) Garrison of Sabina, Jay (Judy) Laycock of Sabina and Tim (Karen, dec.) Laycock of Wilmington.

In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by siblings: Rose Cambell and William Hilt.

Betty’s passions were the dogs in her life and her books.  Therefore, in lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations could be directed to the Clinton County Humane Society or the Sabina Library.
