Betty Jean Davis, 81, formerly of Lees Creek, passed away on Friday evening July 29, 2016 at Edgewood Manor in Greenfield.
Born December 9, 1934 in Highland County, she was the daughter of Leon W. and Daisy M. Hawthorne Allen and raised in the home of the late Gertrude Hawthorne of Lynchburg.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Lloyd Ronald Turpin and Harold Davis.
A graduate of Lynchburg High School, Betty was a member of the Lees Creek United Church of Christ and employed at Wright Patterson AFB, Sears Catelogue Store and, most recently, retired as a set designer at the Dress Barn.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda (Clifford) Weaver of Fayetteville and Hillsboro, L. Randall (Barbara) Turpin of Procterville and Allen S. (Anne) Turpin of Columbus. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Nathan (Krysten) Turpin, Anthony and Jeremy (Danielle) Gauche, Rachael and Josh Carver, Allie, Alexis and Annalise Turpin; one great grandson, Josh Carver Jr.; along with several siblings.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 am on Thursday at the Lees Creek United Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Centerville Cemetery Lees Creek.
