Barbara L. (Farquer) Mitchell

Barbara L. Mitchell, 76, of New Vienna, passed peacefully on Friday evening, December 14, 2018, at her home.

Born in Wilmington on June 17, 1942, the daughter of Jack and Mary Kaufman Farquer and Alice Farquer.

Barb is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wayne Mitchell.

She was retired, having previously worked at McPherson-Huff and Mac Tool. Barb later retired from Wal-Mart and owned and raced standard bred horses. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School where she was a majorette in the band and a member of the Clinton County Sulkettes.

Barb is also survived by brothers: Jack and Vernon Farquer; several grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael “Loy” Farquar, on January 17, 2018.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 5-7pm.  Funeral services, at the funeral home, will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 11am.  Burial to follow.
