Allen K. Maple

Allen K. Maple, age 61, of Martinsville, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Born on November 3, 1959, in Ravenswood, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Lucille Mae Nelson Maple.

Allen was a 1978 graduate of Wilmington High School and Laurel Oaks, where he was in the welding program.  He worked in heating and cooling for various companies over the years and also worked at Ahresty in Wilmington.  Allen recently took an interest in genealogy, and had always loved gardening, tinkering on engines, driving around, boating on the Ohio River and completing home renovations.  Allen's true passion was fishing.

Left to cherish his memory is his fiancé, Connie Holmes McKinney, of Wilmington.  The two had spent over twelve years together and made countless memories with each other.

Allen is also survived by his children: Christopher (Erin) Maple of Xenia, Betsy Green of Sardinia, and Jacquie Maple of Wilmington; grandchildren: Austin Baden Maple, Joshua and Madyson Warrel, Chris Maple, Jr., Sissy and Emma Maple, Jacob, Andrew and Andreanna Green and Haven Baca; brother, Mike (Lauren) Maple of FL; two nieces, Shannon and
Tracy; and cousins: Joyce Bonnet of WV and Randy Nelson of FL.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by an infant sister, Roberta Leah.

There will be no services.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
