Alice L. (Northern) Wical

Alice L. Wical, age 65, of Sabina, passed peacefully at Wilmington Rehab and Nursing on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Born in Berea, KY on September 22, 1958, she was the daughter of Hettie Louella Dyer Northern, who passed shortly after her birth, and was raised by her father and step-mother, Leonard and Geneva Northern.

Alice is survived by her husband, William ‘Bill’ C. Wical.  The two were united in marriage on November 15, 1975.

Alice worked various jobs in health care.  She was an avid crafter, enjoyed painting, photography and sewing.   She loved to garden and cook and was passionate about the color purple.  Alice started the “Cupcake Club”, which would meet every month and make baked goods to deliver to local nursing homes in celebration of the resident’s birthdays.  She loved sharing whatever she made in the kitchen.   Alice had a big heart and was very generous with her love.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by their son and his wife, Joshua and Brittney Wical.  Also left to cherish her memory is her beloved grandpuppy, Luna; siblings: Doug Northern and Orlena Kat Price, both of Broadhead, KY; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, at 1pm.  Friends may visit from 12 Noon until the time of service.
