Alan Bernard Orr

Alan Bernard Orr, age 86, of Asheville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2020, with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Sabina on December 20, 1933, he was the son of the late Bernard and Mildred (Fisher) Orr.

He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Nell Orr, in 2001.

A United States Veteran with the 82nd Airborne Division, Alan served in the Army.  He was a member of the West Asheville Baptist Church.  Alan retired from Ford Motor Company after over 30 years of service.  He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan – “Go Bucks!”

Alan is survived by his cherished wife, Aileen Black Orr.  Also left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Tonya (Willie); son, Kenneth (Gina); grandchildren: Caitlin (Tony), Chase and Garret; great-grandson, Taki; and brother, Thomas Orr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Asheville Baptist Church, Jones Valley Baptist Church, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, or the Sabina Cemetery.

A private graveside service and burial will be held at Sabina Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
